Welcome to VP Max Packers and Movers. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services and website. By engaging our services or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking our services, using our website, or engaging with VP Max Packers and Movers in any capacity, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, along with our Privacy Policy and any other applicable policies.

2. Services Provided

VP Max Packers and Movers provides professional packing, moving, and relocation services including but not limited to:

  • Residential and commercial relocation
  • Local and long-distance moving
  • Packing and unpacking services
  • Loading and unloading
  • Vehicle transportation
  • Storage solutions
  • Insurance services

The specific services provided will be outlined in your service agreement or quotation.

3. Booking and Quotations

3.1 Quotation Process

  • All quotations are provided based on the information supplied by the customer
  • Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated
  • Final charges may vary if actual inventory differs from the initial assessment
  • We reserve the right to revise quotations if additional services are required

3.2 Booking Confirmation

  • A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the advance payment
  • Advance payment is typically 10-25% of the total estimated cost
  • Booking confirmation will be sent via email or SMS
  • Changes to booking dates must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Payment Schedule

  • Advance payment: Due at the time of booking confirmation
  • Balance payment: Due before or upon delivery of goods, as agreed
  • Additional charges (if any): Payable immediately upon completion of additional services

4.2 Accepted Payment Methods

  • Cash
  • Bank transfer/NEFT/RTGS/IMPS
  • Credit/Debit cards
  • UPI and digital wallets
  • Cheques (subject to clearance)

4.3 Late Payment

Failure to make payment as agreed may result in:

  • Delay in service delivery
  • Storage charges for goods held pending payment
  • Legal action to recover outstanding amounts
  • Interest charges on overdue amounts

5. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information about items to be moved
  • Declaring all valuable, fragile, or hazardous items
  • Ensuring proper access to pickup and delivery locations
  • Obtaining necessary permissions for moving in/out of buildings
  • Being present or having an authorized representative during pickup and delivery
  • Packing personal and valuable items if not included in the service package
  • Emptying and defrosting refrigerators and freezers
  • Disconnecting and preparing appliances for moving
  • Removing items from walls, shelves, and cabinets as required

6. Prohibited Items

We do not transport the following items:

  • Hazardous materials (explosives, flammable liquids, gases, corrosives)
  • Illegal substances or contraband
  • Perishable food items
  • Live plants and animals
  • Currency, jewelry, precious stones (unless declared and insured)
  • Important documents (passports, legal papers, etc.)
  • Firearms and ammunition
  • Items prohibited by law or regulation

Customers are responsible for transporting these items separately. We are not liable for any prohibited items packed without our knowledge.

7. Liability and Insurance

7.1 Standard Liability

  • We exercise reasonable care in handling your belongings
  • Standard liability coverage is included in our basic service
  • Claims must be reported within 7 days of delivery
  • Liability is limited to the declared value of goods

7.2 Insurance Coverage

  • Comprehensive insurance is available at an additional cost
  • Insurance must be purchased before the move
  • Claims are subject to insurance policy terms and conditions
  • Customers must declare the accurate value of goods for insurance purposes

7.3 Exclusions

We are not liable for:

  • Damage caused by improper packing by the customer
  • Pre-existing damage to items
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage to items not declared or improperly declared
  • Delays due to circumstances beyond our control (weather, traffic, natural disasters)
  • Loss or damage to prohibited items
  • Indirect or consequential losses

8. Cancellation and Rescheduling

8.1 Cancellation by Customer

  • Cancellation more than 7 days before moving date: Full refund of advance payment minus 10% processing fee
  • Cancellation 3-7 days before moving date: 50% refund of advance payment
  • Cancellation less than 3 days before moving date: No refund

8.2 Rescheduling

  • First rescheduling (with 48+ hours notice): Free of charge
  • Subsequent rescheduling or short notice: Subject to availability and may incur charges
  • Rescheduling requests must be made in writing (email or SMS)

8.3 Cancellation by Company

We reserve the right to cancel services in cases of:

  • Non-payment or payment default
  • Misrepresentation of goods or services required
  • Unsafe working conditions
  • Force majeure events

In such cases, advance payment will be refunded in full.

9. Delays and Force Majeure

While we strive to meet agreed timelines, we are not liable for delays caused by:

  • Natural disasters, severe weather conditions
  • Traffic congestion, road closures, accidents
  • Government restrictions or regulations
  • Strikes, labor disputes
  • Vehicle breakdown or mechanical failure
  • Acts of terrorism or civil unrest
  • Pandemic or health emergencies

In case of significant delays, we will make reasonable efforts to inform you and provide alternative solutions.

10. Claims and Disputes

10.1 Filing Claims

  • All claims must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery
  • Claims should include photographs, descriptions, and supporting documentation
  • We will investigate and respond to claims within 30 days
  • Settlement of claims is subject to verification and policy terms

10.2 Dispute Resolution

  • We encourage amicable resolution of disputes through direct communication
  • Unresolved disputes may be referred to mediation or arbitration
  • Legal proceedings, if necessary, will be subject to the jurisdiction of [Your City] courts

11. Intellectual Property

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dev Packers and Movers, its employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms and Conditions
  • Your violation of any law or regulation
  • Your negligence or willful misconduct
  • Prohibited items transported without our knowledge

15. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

17. Governing Law
